With over 40 years of experience in international trade law, multilateral negotiations, and trade diplomacy, Fakhry Al-Hazaimeh is a recognized regional expert in shaping trade policy, negotiating free trade agreements, and advancing national economic interests across the Middle East, the Gulf, and globally.

He has served as a Senior Counsellor and Lead Negotiator for the UAE Ministry of Economy (2021–2025), representing the UAE in bilateral, regional, and multilateral trade negotiations, including over 30 high-level trade agreements under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPA) framework. His role encompassed both legal drafting, technical negotions, and strategic direction in the CEPA CHAPTERS in compliance with WTO rules and domestic economic policies .

Prior to this, Mr. Al-Hazaimeh held long-term senior posts for the Jordanian government, including serving as Director of the Economic Bureau/ Representative to the WTO in Geneva for over a decade (1998–2013). He played a leading role in Jordan’s accession to the WTO and acted as the country’s Chief Negotiator in the Doha Development Agenda, Government Procurement Agreement (GPA), and Euro-Med agreements.

Mr. Al-Hazaimeh also served as Executive President of the Agadir Technical Unit, facilitating regional integration and economic cooperation between Arab Mediterranean states. He has authored key policy papers, coordinated institutional capacity-building, and engaged in WTO-compatible reform projects throughout the Arab world.

With executive diplomas from both the WTO and WIPO, UNCTAD and a graduate degree in economic policy from Northeastern University (USA), he continues to offer unmatched insight into trade governance, compliance frameworks, and regional legal harmonization strategies.
