Biography

My background in business administration combined with thirty-four years of experience in trade and investment and economic development allows me to lead Jordan’s business environment transformation. I direct initiatives at GSC as CEO to boost the garment sector while building QIZ capacities as well as to develop strong relationships between public and private sectors for economic expansion. The journey towards the CEO role of GSC (2022–2024) began after my service as Acting CEO and ten years devoted to the Ministry of Industry, Trade & Supply (2012–2022) as Business Environment & QIZ Development Unit head. I took part in developing Jordan’s Garment Sector Strategy (2020-2030) in my position along with contributing to policy development and investment support while part of the Ministry of Industry, Trade & Supply during my tenure. Through my role, I provided guidance about labor policies while helping develop employment strategies and export growth strategies, which supported national economic development in the country.

The twenty-one years spent in financial auditing and accounting (1991–2012) provided me with analytical and strategic mindset development. Through representing my country, I collaborated with both international organizations and investors on trade and economic committees. I am an active member of three executive bodies: the Executive Council of Amman Governorate, the Jordan Garment Sector Alliance (JGSA with World Bank collaboration), and the Technical Committee for Granting Citizenship to Investors. I have acquired specialized training in trade and investment policies as well as labor regulation techniques and export strategies for the USA, Europe, Korea, China, and Malaysia.

Personal achievements have earned me two distinguished awards: an Ideal Employee Award in 2011 and an Outstanding Employee Award in 2015. My language skills include native-level Arabic alongside very professional English skills, together with advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office and statistical applications, which I apply to create meaningful policies while advancing industrial growth. My goal remains focused on building economic advancement as well as operational investment possibilities and lasting industry development for Jordan’s business sector.
